Rumble to Acquire Northern Data in All-Share Deal, Expanding AI and Cloud Capabilities
Rumble, the video-sharing platform backed by Tether, has agreed to acquire Germany's Northern Data AG in an all-share transaction. The deal positions Rumble to significantly expand its cloud computing and artificial intelligence infrastructure, leveraging Northern Data's extensive GPU fleet and data center network.
Northern Data shareholders will receive approximately two Rumble shares for each share held, potentially giving them a 30% stake in the combined entity. The acquisition brings Rumble control of 22,400 high-performance Nvidia GPUs, including cutting-edge H100 and H200 chips, along with four data centers across Europe and the U.S.
The strategic MOVE underscores the growing convergence between cryptocurrency-backed platforms and traditional tech infrastructure. "This combination creates a formidable player in AI and cloud services," said a company spokesperson, noting the deal's potential to support Rumble's hosting of platforms like Truth Social.
